Oakdell Today....
You've been eating Oakdell eggs for years and probably didn't even know it. Oakdell's hens have been laying eggs right in your area since 1908. Many of your store brand eggs including Smith's, Macey's, Albertson's (in WA & OR), WinCo, Dan's, Fred Meyer, Harmons, and Costco (UT & ID only) are from Oakdell Egg Farms.
Oakdell now produces Organic Cage-free eggs from our new farm to meet the needs of those for whom this is important. Tell your friends about it because as these little birds grow, so will the availability of this newest product. Look for it in the Oakdell Organic Cage-free carton, or in Utah and Idaho at Costco under the Kirkland Signature label.
- Our Cage-free brown Organic eggs come from hens that have access to the outdoors, are never in cages, and are always free to roam.
We continue to produce an Omega-3 brown egg from brown hens fed a vegetarian diet enriched with flaxseed, a marine algae and Vitamin E.
- Each Omega-3 Brown Egg has at least 350 mg of total Omega-3 fatty acids. This is a combination primarily of ALA, but also includes 125 mg of DHA omega-3 fatty acids. DHA is one of the most important of all the omega-3 fatty acids.
- None of our brown hens are fed any hormones, antibiotics or animal by-products. In fact, we do not add hormones or antibiotics to any of the birds or eggs we produce.
